Introduction

Hi, my name is George and I am a professionally trained dog groomer, living and working locally within the Cheltenham area. My aim is to offer a friendly, professional, affordable dog grooming service, catering mainly for small to medium sized dogs, Pedigrees or Cross-Breeds, in the comfort of their own home.

If you have access to a bath, shower, or even a kitchen sink, your dog can be shampooed with little risk of damage to your bath's surface through the use of a protective rubber matting. On dry, warmer days, after shampooing, your dog can be clipped and finished out of doors, provided you have a secure garden. On cold, or wet days, there is no problem, as I can set my grooming equipment indoors, anywhere that has good lighting and access to a power socket, for electric clippers and driers. Again, there is no risk of mess or damage, due to the use of a waterproof floor covering to catch any loose hair, although I do recommend you temporarily remove small ornaments from the direct vicinity, as driers can be very powerful! I do however carry full public liability insurance. No different from employing the services of a mobile hairdresser for yourself and your family.

What are the benefits of using Gone to the Dogs?

Well, that's simple. My overheads are less than those of a dog groomer who operates from a static grooming parlour, or adapted van and therefore, I don't need to pass my overheads on to the customer.

With the busy life-styles people lead today, not everyone has the time to take their dog to a groomer, so I can come to you. Maybe you work from home, are a parent looking after a young family, an elderly person or a full-time carer, or just don't have access to your own transport. Whatever the case may be, that is where I can help you.

Most importantly of all, your dog is in his own surroundings, which has certainly got to be less stressful and better for his well-being too and as the owner of the dog, you are welcome to observe the care and attention your dog will receive.
